This week in Indonesian, students in Years 3-6 have been studying the Sumatran Tiger. Students watched the following clip and wrote sentences in Indonesian describing the tiger.

This term in Indonesian, students in the Prep classes have been studying the popular story ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?’ (Beruang Coklat, Beruang Coklat, Melihat apa?) Students are enjoying reading the story in Indonesian and using puppets to play the role of the different characters. In class they have been busy making their own version of the story which they will bring home in the next few weeks.
This week in Indonesian, to coincide with World Orangutan Day on 19th August, students in Years 3-6 studied the Orangutan. They watched a short documentary and discussed the issues that demand for palm oil has caused the orangutan population in Indonesia.

Students in Years 3 to 6 have been learning to construct sentences to describe physical characteristics. They enjoyed creating ‘Dicari!‘ (Wanted!) posters for their imaginary characters.
